Across the street from the most charming park in Gdansk, surrounded by lushly green trees, proudly stands our first home for kids from Ukraine. Conveniently located in the middle of currently revitalised Orunia’s old town and close to Gdansk historical town centre, building is very well communicated, with easy access to public transport and train station, and is only a short walking distance to the elementary, vocational and music schools.
Salesian monks church specialising in helping children and teenagers, Orunia’s Twon House and an historical forge converted into a local meeting place are all nearby.
Our first home will provide adequate care and psychological help to it’s occupants. It will be a home not only for children but also for teachers and psychologists from Ukraine that our new home provide with shelter and work.
On the ground floor we are planning to open a bakery where we will teach our older pupils how to bake the best bread in town.
